Last month one of the evangelists in Bahamas, Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth Munroe along with seven others died in a plane crash. Later on their young adult son Myles Munroe Jr. issued a statement saying, "Past few days have been the most difficult times for me my sister and for our family and for all of those affected by this loss.....

We would like to make it known that although we are all grieving our losses and are deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been nor will we ever feel hopeless. There is no question in our hearts that the spirits of the nine persons whose lives were taken are now resting with our Heavenly Father. We rejoice for we know that they are in a better place watching over all of us and rejoicing amongst the heavenly angels."

How true it is that those who have given their lives in the hands of Jesus are not hopeless. They know that their lives are not lost at the time of death but one day they will meet again with their loved ones. Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."

Recently we met some of our old friends in facebook. What a great joy it brought when we met our long lost friends after so many long years. There is the same joy when we have the hope that though death will part us from our loved ones, friends and family yet one day we will meet them in heaven if we have placed our lives in the hands of Jesus.

Within a few days we will be celebrating Christmas, the whole essence of which is that Jesus came in this hopeless world to give us new hope. He came to take away our sins and to give us eternal life. He came to reconcile us with God. At the time of Jesus' birth angels sang (Luke 2:14), "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

If you have not yet received forgiveness of your sins, if you are not sure about going to heaven, if you do not have peace in your life then you need to come to Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. He is ready to forgive and forget all your sins and to give eternal life.

The God who comes searching for us! Part 4

By Sherly Isaac

Bible tells us the story of three young men who were in a foreign land under captivity but remained faithful to the God of their fathers. But they had to pay a heavy price for that.

One day the king of Babylon got the news that these three young men named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were not worshipping his gods nor bowing down to the gold image which he set up. When the king heard this, he got very angry and he wanted to hear from them. He ordered his soldiers to bring them in.

When they came in Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up? Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?" Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up. (Dan 3:14-18)"

Further we read that the king got more angry and he commanded to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore, because the king's command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, "Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?" They answered and said to the king, "True, O king." "Look!" he answered, "I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."

You can see here that the three men who did not do any wrong were punished just because they remained faithful to their God and refused to worship other gods or to bow down before the gold image set by the king. But God did not forget them, He came rushing to help them in their dire need. The God who promised in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you."

When you pass through deep waters, when you go through fiery trials, God will not sit on His throne looking at you and have pity... no, but He will come rushing to rescue you, just as He did for three young men who loved the Lord.

Today you may be in dire situations in your life where you desperately need a solution. If you look to Jesus, He can bring you through any situation no matter what your situation could be. He will certainly make a way and find a solution for you.

You can see how these three young men escaped unhurt when God walked with them. The satraps administrators governors and the king's counselors gathered together, and they saw that on their bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.

If you have given your life to Jesus, if you are walking faithfully in His ways then you need not to fear of your circumstances because God will come rushing for your help.
